Chemistry as the studies about matter

It was born out of alchemy, an ancient science which sought, among other objectives, to create the elixir of life and do gold from iron. Nowadays chemistry just scrutinizes the components of different matters, their atomic structure and the processes that occur while various matters are being combined. What is more, chemistry as a science is associated with providing a description for the forenamed processes in the form of a law. Chemistry interacts quite closely with biology and physics.
This science is subdivided into inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, physical chemistry and lots of other more narrow spheres.
